XC2000 - microcontrollers for the cars application market
The XC2000 family is based on
a 16/32-bit CPU with 80MHz
clockworks. The internal Flash
memory goes up to 1.2 MB,
the part is manufactured in
0.13 ėm technology and will
be delivered in packages of
64 to 176 pins.
The peripheral with the different
variations consists of,
e.g.:

USICs (Universally Serial
interface channels) are flexible
and can be used as an
UART as well as LIN interface,
buffered SPIŪ (Serial
Peripheral interface), NCbus
(Inter IC) and IIS interface
(Inter IC Sound). |

A MultiCAN module (CAN
Rev. 2.0B active) offers up
to 64 freely mapping message
objects for up to three
CAN knots as well as gateway
functionality. |

Synchronizable A/D converters
with altogether up to
24 channels and optional
data preconverting. These
converters offer special
safety properties: they can
track down, for example,
defective connections and
synchronized incoming redundant
signal scans. |

The MPU (Memory Protection
Unit) offers additional
advantages for developers
of security systems, because
they help to integrate the
software of third providers
(e.g., AUTOSAR). In this
case the MPU partitions the
various software components
and seals them off from
the outside. In addition, the
memory contents are protected.
This allows that both
safety critical and safety uncritical
software tasks are
separately processed in secured,
respectively nonsecured
arrays. Also the
MPU controls the process
of the bulk partitioning of
the different software tasks
and offers reliable mechanisms
for the avoidance of
interferences.
