The RSKs has been developed
to speed up code
development and reduce
time to market.
An RSK, as the name suggests, is a complete development kit for Renesas microcontrollers.
The kit includes:
> CPU board with target
microcontroller
> LCD panel for user/diagnostic
interaction
> On Chip Debugger (E8 or
E8a)
> HEW integrated development
environment (IDE)
> Trial C compiler (60 days
then 64 K limited)
> Tutorial session
> Sample peripheral driver
code for all major peripherals
(device dependant) such
as ADC, LIN, CAN, PWM,
timers, UART, voltage
detector and watchdog
RSKs have been developed to
a common format. This enables
the user to evaluate devices
from different Renesas
architectures using a common
board and software platform.
Also included in the RSK is a
common “application” bus that
ensures function connectivity
to either Renesas or customer
daughter cards.
With the Release of the RSK
program customers have a
common development platform
for our new microcontrollers
and a common price.
