Any customer who purchases a full version of Altera Quartus at regular price between November 3 and December 31, 2008 will receive one NIOS license free of charge. This offer applies regardless of which full version is purchased. Thus, the offer applies to:

� FIXEDPC
� FLOATALL
� ADD-FLOATALL
� RENEWAL

This offer is particularly attractive to users of the free Web Edition of Quartus. These users will receive all of the following in one order:

� Access to the complete range of Altera modules
� Double the simulation performance and no limit on the number of lines
� IP Base Suite, a collection of 11 popular IP modules, such as DDR SDRAM controller
� NIOS II, the most widely used soft processor in the world

Placing a special order couldn't be simpler. The order is handled initially just like a standard order � as usual, you will receive a letter from Altera with a serial number. Note: The number is found on the envelope and not in the letter. You can follow the standard procedure to apply for your license on the Altera Internet site using this serial number.

We will request the following data from you:

� Company name
� Purchase date
� Product name (FIXEDPC, FLOAT, etc.)
o For FIXEDPC: the serial number you received with the letter.
o For FLOAT� and RENEWAL: the new license file you received from Altera.

We can use this information to activate the NIOS license for you. After approximately 1 week, you can download a new license file from the Altera Internet site. This new license file will include the license for NIOS. It's never been so easy to obtain a NIOS license.
